Book forums

April 20th and 21st

Book Forums is the training and professional updating space for the publishing sector that brings together publishers, agents, distributors, booksellers and students around talks and conferences with experts from Colombia and the world, within the framework of the International Book Fair of Bogotá, during two days: 20 and 21 April.
Book Forums is sponsored by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and organized by the Colombian Book Chamber, in partnership with the Regional Center for Book Promotion in Latin America and the Caribbean (Cerlalc). In its twelfth edition, the general theme of Book Forums is the publishing chain as a living ecosystem. Today, the Latin American publishing world is marked by its constant expansion to international markets and its broad development in the region. From this, international and national experts of the sector reflect on two lines: branches and roots of the Latin American publishing chain.
The event is aimed at professionals and entrepreneurs interested in:
  • Text editing: managing editors, editors and proofreaders.
  • Editorial design and production: graphic designers, illustrators, digital animators and project managers.
  • Promotion and sales: managers, marketing directors, communicators and public relations specialists.
It is also aimed at students in careers such as:
  • Literature, social communication, modern languages.
  • Visual arts, graphic design.
  • Business administration, advertising, marketing, project management and economics.
