they have as another of their lines of action the creation of specialized meetings and training for all agents in the book ecosystem (editors, illustrators, proofreaders, translators, librarians, among others).

Meeting of the Book Fair Network

April 26, 2025

Meeting of those responsible for literary events in the country to strengthen the network and exchange experiences with international colleagues. Organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Knowledge-National Library.

 

International Meeting of Librarians 

April 28 to 30, 2025  

Regional and international libraries share success stories, establish networks and address topics of interest. This meeting is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Knowledge, the National Library of Colombia, Banco de la República, BibloRed, Fundalectura and Asocajas.

 

Book Forums and their master classes

April 29 and 30, 2025

These are spaces for the professionalization of the different parties of the book production chain on topics of interest to the sector. The forums take place through panels and conferences (with experts from Colombia and the world), while the master classes offer a more practical and specialized type of training. These forums and classes are supported by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and Cerlalc.

 

III Meeting of Books for Children and Young People

April 29 and 30, 2025

The aim of this event is to evaluate and show possible ways of working and analyzing this sub-sector, to review its scope and to outline new horizons for growth and consolidation (through dialogue with specialists). This event is organized with the support of the Colombian Association of Children·s and Youth Literature.

 

Comics Professionals Forum

May 2, 2025

Entreviñetas and FILBo have formed an alliance to create a space for the recognition, positioning and advocacy of the parties of the comics sector in Colombia.

 

IV Editorial and Literary Translation Forum

May 2, 2025

With the support of the Colombian Association of Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters (ACTTI), FILBo is organizing a forum dedicated to the analysis of topics, profiles and careers related to the translation process. This forum is aimed at translators, editors, professors, students and those interested in the field of editorial and literary translation.


National Meeting of Style Correctors

May 2, 2025

Training space aimed at people interested in the formal, technical, technological and physical aspects of proofreading. This meeting is organized in partnership with Red Correcta.

 

International Bookstores Meeting

May 5 and 6, 2025

Initiative for the exchange of experiences among booksellers from Colombia and abroad, with the aim of strengthening traditional and regional bookstores. This meeting is organized with the support of the Colombian Association of Independent Bookstores.

 

“FILBo Creates” Entrepreneurship

From May 6 to 9, 2025

This is a call that seeks to strengthen publishing ventures through comprehensive training on the relationships, challenges and opportunities of the book production chain. In addition to the training, the beneficiaries will have a commercial space at FILBo for the following year. This call is organized in partnership with the District Institute of the Arts and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.

 

“FILBo illustrates” master classes and portfolio review

May 7, 2025

Courses taught by professionals (with extensive experience) who will explore the different techniques and expressions of graphic language. In addition, with the support of Casa Tinta, qualified editors review and provide feedback on the portfolios of illustrators (who have been selected through a call for submissions).

 

International Copyright Seminar

May 8 and 9, 2025

Academic meeting that brings together national and international copyright experts to discuss various topics related to trends, case studies, business models and the global economy. This seminar is organized with the support of the National Copyright Directorate.
