What is the FILBo?

Since 1988, the Colombian Book Chamber and Corferias have held the International Book Fair of Bogotá, a successful alliance that has positioned this cultural event as one of the most important in the Spanish-speaking world. For 34 years, it has brought together all the actors in the book chain (authors, editors, proofreaders, translators, distributors, agents and booksellers) who, together with their readers, make up this book ecosystem that grows and strengthens every year.

General objective 2025: to hold an event with a cultural and commercial dynamics around books and their authors, from Colombia and Latin America, which energizes an industry and keeps it in an international dialogue, encouraging conversation on the most important issues for Colombia and the world, and also sales for the world publishing industry.

Mission: Uniting Colombia through the books and reading creation and production chain, where the cultural and commercial fields give shape to the fair and reflect the realities of the country.
Vision: Making FILBo, by 2025, a benchmark for books and reading beyond Latin America, and to influence reflection on the issues that concern us.
