¿What is the International Business Show?
The FILBo (Bogotá International Book Fair) becomes the hub of the publishing industry’s business activities in the region during the first half of each year. This event provides a strategic platform for industry stakeholders to engage in book transactions, rights sales for publishing and translation, and other publishing services.

Who Can Participate in the International Business Show?
Participation is available in three categories: international buyers supported by Corferias and ProColombia, focused on making acquisitions (closed selection); international entrepreneurs purchasing a table through the Colombian Book Chamber; and FILBo exhibitors.
Who Can Acquire a Table?
The sale of tables is available to international industry stakeholders seeking to establish business relationships with other entrepreneurs, exhibitors, and national and international visitors to FILBo 2025, particularly:
- Commercial Managers
- Editorial Directors
- Publishers
- Distributors
- Booksellers
- Literary Agents
- Literary Scouts
- Translators
Corferias and the Colombian Book Chamber will evaluate applicants to ensure a balanced match between supply and demand. Companies interested in acquiring a table at the International Business Show must complete the following application form. Submitting this form does not obligate Corferias or the Colombian Book Chamber to allocate a table to the applicants. Approved applicant profiles will be notified starting January 2025.
For the purchase of each table at the International Business Show, participants can schedule 30-minute appointments through a dedicated platform with other entrepreneurs, exhibitors, Fellowship Program grantees, and national and international stakeholders attending FILBo 2025.
How Can FILBo 2025 Exhibitors Participate?
FILBo exhibitors and Colombian Book Chamber affiliates may participate in the International Business Show to schedule appointments with table-holding companies, provided they meet the following criteria:
- Be a national or international exhibitor or an affiliate of the Colombian Book Chamber with an approved profile.
- Be dedicated to editorial products with ISBN and ISSN (books, audiobooks, ebooks, etc.).
- Have export capabilities or hold proprietary rights.
- Possess a catalog featuring more than 10 titles and have been established for at least 3 years.
- For collective exhibitors: a maximum of three companies per stand.
The Colombian Book Chamber and Corferias will select qualifying companies and notify them well in advance, allowing sufficient time to upload their information into the appointment scheduling platform.
What Are the Costs for the International Business Show?
The fees for each table at the International Business Show may include just the table or include hotel accommodation. Should participants need additional nights to extend their stay at FILBo, please let us know to secure the preferential rates negotiated by FILBo with the Corferias Hilton Hotel. Payment for accommodations will not be processed through FILBo or the Colombian Book Chamber but directly with the hotel.

Key Dates for the Call for Applications

How Does the International Business Show Work?
First. Expression of Interest: October 1, 2024 - January 15, 2025.
Companies interested in acquiring a table within the Show must complete the following form to ensure a balance between supply and demand.
Second. Notification of Selected Participants for Payment: Late January 2025.
Corferias and the Colombian Book Chamber will review the applicant profiles to ensure a balance between supply and demand among International Business Show participants.
Third. Payment Gateway Availability: February 1 - March 15, 2025.
Once companies are approved, they will receive a link from the Colombian Book Chamber to process payment.
Fourth. Profile Creation: March 15-31, 2025.
Upon payment confirmation, Corferias will contact participants to set up their company profiles on the platform, detailing their business activities and the purpose of participation (purchasing, selling, or both).
Fifth. Appointment Scheduling: April 1-15, 2025.
With profiles completed, participants can begin scheduling meetings with other registered profiles in advance of the International Business Show.
Sixth. International Business Show: April 28-29, 2025.
Meetings will take place every 30 minutes, pre-scheduled through the platform, and will be held in the Bosque Hall at the Hilton Hotel.
Benefits of Participating in the International Business Show
In 2024, the Show hosted 1,148 meetings, connecting 55 entrepreneurs from various countries (Brazil, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, the United States, Mexico, and Peru) and 7 Fellowship Program grantees (from Germany, Brazil, Egypt, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom). These participants met with 153 national and international exhibitors at FILBo, generating an estimated business expectation of USD 6,125,768.
By participating in the International Business Show, you will receive 2 credentials:
- Entry pass to the fairgrounds for all days of FILBo (April 25 - May 11, 2025).
- Access pass to the International Business Show at the Hilton Hotel (April 28-29, 2025).
- Access to exhibitor and visitor information from FILBo.
Additionally, upon your arrival at the fair, you will be assigned your permanent table for pre-scheduled meetings and those scheduled on-site during the 2 business days.
If your plan includes hotel accommodation, it will also include airport transfers to the hotel and internet access.
