One of the main objectives of the FILBo Professional Days is to organize specialized meetings and training sessions for all stakeholders in the book ecosystem (editors, illustrators, proofreaders, translators, and librarians, among others).
Book Fair Network Meeting
April 26, 2025
A meeting of those responsible for literary events in the country, aimed at strengthening the network and exchanging experiences with international counterparts. Organized with the support of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Knowledge and the National Library of Colombia.
International Librarians Meeting
April 28-30, 2025
Regional and international libraries share successful cases, build networks, and discuss topics of interest. Supported by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Knowledge, the National Library of Colombia, the Central Bank of Colombia, BibloRed (Capital Network of Public Libraries), Fundalectura, and Asocajas (National Association of Family Compensation Funds).
Book Forums and Masterclasses
April 29-30, 2025
A professional development space for stakeholders in the book production chain on sector-specific topics. The forums feature panels and conferences with experts from Colombia and abroad, while the masterclasses provide more practical and specialized training. Supported by the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá and Cerlalc (Regional Center for the Promotion of Books in Latin America and the Caribbean).
III Meeting on Books for Children and Young People

This event aims to evaluate and outline potential work routes and analyses for this subsector, review its scope, and engage with specialists to chart new paths for growth and consolidation. Organized with the support of the Colombian Association of Children·s and Youth Literature.

IV Editorial and Literary Translation Forum

National Meeting of Style Correctors

A training space aimed at individuals interested in the formal, technical, technological, and physical aspects of proofreading. Organized in partnership with Red Correcta.
International Bookstores Meeting

An initiative for the exchange of experiences between booksellers from Colombia and abroad focused on strengthening traditional and regional bookstores. Organized with the support of the Colombian Association of Independent Bookstores.
FILBo Creates Entrepreneurship
May 6-9, 2025
A call for applications aimed at strengthening editorial startups through comprehensive training on relationships, challenges, and opportunities in the book production chain. In addition to training, beneficiaries will have a commercial space at the following year’s FILBo. Organized in partnership with the District Institute of the Arts and the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá.
FILBo Illustrates: Masterclasses and Portfolio Reviews

Classes with highly experienced professionals who explore various techniques and expressions of graphic language. Additionally, with the support of Casa Tinta, qualified editors review the portfolios of illustrators selected through a call for applications, providing them with feedback.
